Christmas Beauty Event

The event was alot of fun but this picture was taken towards the end of the night and obviously the DJ had lost the will to live.

I love the beauty events that take part at Selfridges, Sali Hughes and Caroline Hirons were giving talks at some of the past events, so I was jumping at the bit for the latest event to take place. It was the same premise of 10 pounds a ticket, redeemable against any purchase and it was 10% off. I attended the event with my mother but also met a few blogger friends and even Santa there.

If you read my post, The Lust List, you would have seen that I have made a promise to get my makeup mojo back and well, I was quite proud of my attempt here. Apologies for the slight graininess of the image.

As well as a great discount on the night, there were also some complimentary treats taking place. I got my hair washed and blow dried by Rikki Thomas, who is quite the hair maestro at Umberto Giannini and he did a great job with my thick long hair. However, the way he kept getting my hair stuck in the brush and then pulling it out was slightly annoying but the end result was pretty damn good.

My mother also took full advantage of the 10% off offer, which also applied to the HC LuxSpa treatments. Of course I referred my mother to Casita, who created this French Manicure and they are still going strong 10 days later. (My review of the HC LuxSpa here).

As well as the beauty treatments and music on the night, the main attraction was of course the makeup! If you saw my Lust List post, you would have seen that I made a bit of a list of what I wanted. The only thing I actually got from that list was the Clarins The Essentials Mineral Eye Make-Up Palette. I also got the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Birkin Brown, which is a great brown shade and the formula is the most nourishing. It is described as having a 'cashmere finish', which is spot on, definitely believe the hype on this one.

No event is complete without a photo booth, as you can see me, Ting from The Ting Thing and Alev from Bella & the Robot gave the booth a good go.

It was a great night and I am looking forward to the next one.

Did you go?
